Head of Demand Gen - Vancouver

Most marketing hires at this stage want a playbook to follow. We need someone who writes the playbook. You will own a number, control how we market, and have immense impact. That excites you, not makes you fearful.

AutoRFP.ai automates how enterprise sales teams respond to RFPs, security questionnaires, and due diligence requests. Built model-agnostic from day one, deployed across 44 countries, growing 15% monthly, profitable, and bootstrapped. No VC committee approving your budget. No 18-month runway clock ticking in the background.

Position Summary

We're looking for a Head of Demand Generation to:

  • Own the metric. ICP inbound demos booked is what you're measured on, and your success directly determines your upside

  • Build the demand engine from strategy through execution, then scale the team around what works

  • Operate at the intersection of enterprise marketing and AI, not just using AI tools, but betting on the channels that our legacy software competitors will be too slow to adopt

Your Mission

You'll inherit a team with strong conviction, a product with genuine traction, a few channels that work very, very well, and a budget to deploy.

You'll work closely with the CEO, Co-Founder. You will have immense impact over all parts of marketing, from brand, to creative, to socials. It's your oyster. We have ideas. Some will be good, some won't be. It will be your call to say yes or no. You need the judgment to tell the difference, the conviction to push back, and the ability to execute your own strategy when you do.

If you've spent the last few years owning a channel and being solely accountable for its outcomes, this is the step up. You'll own the entire function. The upside is uncapped, and so is the responsibility.

In your first month you can expect to:

  • Audit what's working today: where demos are coming from, what's converting, what's being left on the table

  • Get deep into the product. Talk to customers and opportunities, you can't market what you don't understand, and our buyers are sophisticated

In your first three months you can expect to:

  • Have your core channels identified and producing pipeline

  • Be running experiments across content, paid, events, or whatever you've identified as highest-leverage

  • Have a clear point of view on where to double down and what to kill

In your first six months you can expect to:

  • Own a repeatable demand engine that's driving consistent inbound demo volume

  • See inbound ICP demos improve, month on month. And have plans for how to keep up the growth

  • Have a case for your first hire and a plan for how the function scales

  • Be deeply embedded in the go-to-market motion alongside sales leadership

What we're looking for

  • 3-6 years in B2B marketing with demonstrated ownership of at least one channel end-to-end. You can point to the numbers and say "I did that."

  • Experience marketing to enterprise buyers, ideally in B2B SaaS (selling to sales/revenue leaders) or financial services (investor relations personas). You understand long sales cycles and multi-stakeholder buying committees.

  • High creative taste. You care about how things look, how copy reads, and whether a campaign actually resonates with a senior buyer. Performance marketing metrics matter, but not at the expense of brand and quality.

  • A bootstrapper's instinct for resource allocation. You'll have a real budget, but you think in terms of ROI per dollar, not "spend to plan."

  • On the bleeding edge of AI and marketing. Not just using ChatGPT for copy. You have a thesis on which channels and formats are underpriced right now because incumbents haven't caught up.

  • The spine to tell a founder "that's a terrible idea" and the skill to do it constructively. Then the drive to execute on what you both agree is the right strategy.

  • Hungry to be an IC who builds. You might want to lead a marketing team at a hyper-growth, profitable SaaS company one day. This is how you get there.

The Culture

We've built a team of people who are genuinely good at what they do. We give direct feedback, ask hard questions, and trust each other to deliver. When things break, we own it and fix it together. When we ship something great, we celebrate.

This isn't a place to coast. But if you want to build something meaningful with people who care as much as you do, you'll love it here.

Location & Office

Vancouver: We have an office in Vancouver. We provide standing desks, brand new M3 Macs, 49" Ultra Wide monitors, and licenses to cutting-edge AI tools. This role is 4 days in office, with an optional 1 day at home.

Compensation

$125,000 CAD base + uncapped performance-based compensation tied directly to inbound demo generation. The better you perform, the more you earn, with no ceiling.

Equipment includes latest MacBooks, 49" screens, and any software or AI tools that make you more effective. Monthly team lunches, annual off-sites, and future opportunities to visit our global offices.
